Duchess is a sweetie who was so matted and a mess that the shelter shaved her. We didn't! We don't believe in shaving a sheltie unless it is absolutely necessary. God gave them two coats for a reason! Who are we to question? Anyway, she is a sweet dog that will gets along with other dogs and does well with cats. We are just getting to know her but we can tell you that she is low thyroid and that the coat will come back thick and beautiful now that she is on the proper medications for hypothyroidism.
